In the summer of 2014, we hosted bands from all over Europe with Brazilian Maracatu drumming Masters for a meeting of Maracatus in Limerick. This event was the culmination of two year’s work within the band and is a testimony to the passion of the members.

The 6th European Maracatu Encontro was held between the 25th and 27th July in Limerick city. It was the largest gathering of Maracatu players and dancers outside of Brazil.
