Maracatu ilha Brilhante are a national band that brings together drummers/percussionists from across Ireland. To join the band you must be experienced and be ‘sponsored’ (introduced) by an existing member. Invitation to join will depend on your skill level, commitment and ‘fit’ with the band.

We also run workshops nationally for musicians and percussionists. Contact us for a chat if you are interested.

 
The band rehearses from 10:30/11am to 4:30/5pm once a month (usually a Sunday) with dates arranged in advance to allow for scheduling.

We currently practice in Camelot Studios in Dublin.
